Positive Impact

Introduction: A Mission Rooted in Community

At Something For The Kids Inc., our mission is simple but powerful: to give every child—regardless of background, ability, or circumstance—the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive. Founded on the belief that kids deserve more than just a safe space, we create programs that focus on sports, education, mentorship, career exploration, and family support.

Through our initiatives, we’re not just building athletes or students—we’re building leaders, dreamers, and change-makers.

Our Sports Division: Mac5Sports

Physical activity plays a huge role in child development. That’s why we created Mac5Sports, our sports and fitness division.

Mac5Sports runs inclusive sports programs designed for all children, including those with ESE (Exceptional Student Education) and special needs. From after-school activities to summer and sleepaway camps, we bring fun, fitness, and teamwork to kids of every ability.

Some of our key sports initiatives include:

  • 🏈 5U Head Start Flag Football Tournament – introducing kids 5 and under to the fundamentals of football.

  • 💪Youth Football Camp: – specialized In Youth Football development.

  • 🎯 Fit Kids Program – bringing fun fitness games and challenges to schools, after-school programs, and community centers.

Every program is built on the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Tomorrow’s Leaders: Preparing Youth for Life Beyond Sports

Sports are powerful, but we know success goes far beyond the playing field. That’s why we developed Tomorrow’s Leaders, a mentorship and leadership program for boys ages 6–18.

This program focuses on:

  • 🎓 Education and Career Development – trips, apprenticeships, and career pathway exposure.

  • 💡 Financial Literacy – helping youth understand money management from an early age.

  • 🤝 Mentorship – pairing boys with positive role models who guide them through school, career, and life challenges.

  • 🌎 Exposure Beyond the Neighborhood – field trips and experiences that open young minds to bigger possibilities.

We believe in raising not just strong athletes, but strong men—leaders who can positively impact their families and communities.

Supporting Special Needs & Families

Our Extra Love Program was created to provide additional care, attention, and support to children with special needs and mental health challenges. Every child deserves to feel included, valued, and empowered.

In addition, we provide family support programs that help parents—both single and two-parent households—create stable, structured, and nurturing environments at home. Because when families are strong, kids have the foundation they need to succeed.

Partnerships That Make an Impact

We know collaboration makes us stronger. That’s why we’re proud to partner with:

  • 👨‍🚒 Professional Firefighters Association – giving youth exposure to public safety careers.

  • 🏈 Hollywood Youth Athletics – expanding opportunities for young athletes.

  • 🛡️ American Bullies Against Bullying – promoting inclusion and anti-bullying.

  • Haynes Harbour Group Inc. – supporting career and community initiatives.

Together, we’re expanding opportunities and building networks of support for the kids who need it most.

Career Adventures: Opening Doors for Tomorrow

Our Career Adventures Program is one of the most exciting parts of our work. Kids explore real-world careers through field trips, workshops, and mentorship opportunities. Each experience is followed by group discussions and preparation for the next adventure.

This hands-on exposure allows kids to discover passions they may never have considered—whether in medicine, business, trades, public service, or entrepreneurship.
